The main task of a film compositor in film and TV post production is to connect the individual elements of the shot – such as matepaint background, actors, 3D animation – in to final shot. Film post production includes the whole professional video editing, i.e. primarily special visual effects, retouching, 3D animation, video tracking, color grading and a whole range of other processes. All these processes within film and TV post production have one role only, convert non-existing idea, in to the world of reality.
